What are SimPoints?
SimPoints are our virtual currency that is used to purchase items in the store. They are purchased in different sized bundle amounts using real currency.
What is the EA Download Manager (EADM)?
The EADM is an application built to manage digitally downloaded content from EA.com. This is the means for how you’ll get the items you purchase at The Sims 2 Store onto your computer. If you need to download the EADM again, you can
download the EADM again here.
What is The Sims 2 Store Edition?
The Sims 2 Store Edition is a client which is needed to get the items you download via the EADM into your game. Once the EADM downloads the content to your computer, The Sims 2 Store Edition goes to work and installs your item(s) into your game folders so that they appear in your game the next time it is launched.
Can I use my existing EA.com account?
Yes, you can. Login using your existing EA.com account and you will be asked to complete the remaining registration steps so you can start using the store. You will be asked to fund your wallet with SimPoints, download the EA Download Manager, and download The Sims 2 Store Edition. Once you've done those steps you'll be ready to shop!
What type of credit cards can I use?
The Sims 2 Store accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, & Discover.
What countries do we support?
Currently, we are only supporting the use of US and Canadian credit cards.
Do we restrict customers from buying EP content from the website even though they may own the physical game already?
No, we do not currently have any restrictions for users purchasing content them may already own. However, as customers purchase items on the store, the store will remember what they have purchased so they will not accidentally purchase the same item twice.

Click on the Contact Us tab at the top. The page that loads will say login using your EA Account Login. Your email and password for The Sims 2 Store will log you in to this system. |

No, The Sims 2 Store is currently not supported on Macs.
How do I re-enable the Confirm Purchase layer?
You can re-enable the Confirm Purchase layer under Notifications in My Account.
In Firefox, I am getting an
External Protocol Request stating, "An external application must be launched to handle ealink: links." What should I do?
This is a security feature in Firefox which is asking you if you would like to launch the EA Download Manager. It is safe to accept these links, and you need to do so for the EA Download Manager to download your items. Check the "Remember my choice for all links of this type." to avoid seeing this message again.
Where do I obtain the free items?
The free items can be obtained in Collections > Promotions > Free Items.
What are The Sims 2 Store exclusive items?
The Sims 2 Store exclusive items are newly created items only available for purchase at The Sims 2 Store. They are not available in Expansion Packs or Stuff Packs.
